A good draft of ALL 3 sections of your war and peace coursework MUST be handed in our first lesson back after half term. Guidelines are below and useful websites can be found on a previous post. Overall the work must be approx 1500 words. It must be all of your own work - work that is cut and pasted will be given back to be redone.

a) What are Christian beliefs about war and peace? (24 marks)·         Just War·         Pacifism·         Different Christian views – especially Quakerso       Biblical stories to support both viewsb) How do these beliefs affect what a Christian does? (21 marks)·         When would a Christian go to war?·         How would Christians avoid going to war eg conscientious objectors?·         What non violent actions would people take?·         What methods might people use to stop wars?o       Support all areas with examplesc) “Killing is wrong, war is killing so war is wrong.” Do you agree? Show you have thought about more than one point of view and refer to Christianity in your answer (15 marks)·         Give a point of view that says killing and therefore war is wrong·         Give a point of view that says even though people die war can be acceptable·         Support each view with examples or biblical quotes·         Balance both views to show how you have formed your own opinion
